Filipino filmmakers are known for their diverse and innovative ideas. As a result, Filipino-made films are frequently recognized around the world.
Here are three movies that showcase the experiences of Filipino Americans abroad.

This film depicts a typical Filipino family dealing with conflicts and misunderstandings with each other and other relatives. It is a film that the whole family can enjoy watching while learning and laughing together.
Unlike the other two movies in this article, this film depicts the tragic story of Declan’s family.
Declan returns home for the Christmas season when he discovers that his second brother is abusing his wife and kids. Due to his anger, Declan, together with his wife’s brother, decided to kill his brother to stop the abuse in the family.

BITTER MELON
Directed and written by H.P Mendoza, Bitter Melon debuted at the 2018 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival.Unlike the other two movies in this article, this film depicts the tragic story of Declan’s family.
