Humble beginnings of Apl.De.Ap

    Allan Pineda Lindo or also known as “ apl.de.ap” is a well-known Filipino-American rapper, singer and record producer. Also, he is a founding member of the famous hip-hop group named Black Eyed Peas.

    But first, how did Apl De Ap start? Apl, was born in Pampanga Philippines and when he was born with nystagmus, a disorder characterized by an uncontrollable eye movement that impairs eyesight. Due to this, the nystagmus causes his eyes to jitter. At the age of 14, he was adopted by an American family and moved to Los Angeles. After his arrival in the United States he made the acquaintance of 13-year-old William Adams (often known as will.i.am), and the two began a musical friendship that eventually served as the foundation of the hip-hop group “The Black Eyed Peas”. After winning Grammy Awards in 2005, 2006, and 2007, The Black Eyed Peas eventually achieved global fame. As we all know, Apl De Ap has a big contribution to the music industry of the Philippines that leads to his popularity worldwide and no doubt that his talent is really one of a kind that became our pride

    As time passed by, he started to appear as a guest in different popular shows in the Philippines, achieved multiple compliments and also became a coach in the night time show The Voice of the Philippines. He is truly blessed and living his dream life, proving that we can do it if we want to. The success of Apl.de.Ap is evidence of the amazing creative potential emerging in South East Asia. Apl's focus has expanded beyond music and fashion to social justice and helping people throughout the world, his ability to push the envelope is still razor-sharp. Behind of all the success he achieved there are lots of struggles, rejections and failures but it is all part of the journey and as the famous quotation said "Today's struggle will be tomorrow's success story".
