No matter where you are and no matter how big the world is, the Filipino race truly has a fair share of inclusion and accomplishment. Whether it is shocking or not, it has been a major tendency which circulates around different and various industries we embrace.
Curious on how the Filipino blood managed to find its way on the United States' glamorous entertainment field? Here are some U.S. celebrities that you might not now have traceable Pinoy roots.
Vanessa Hudgens

Emerged from being a young teenage prodigy, Vanessa Hudgens catapulted towards the United States' showbiz stardom starting from her breakout performance as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical series. She then went on to become a successful singer also while seizing her brilliance as an actress.
Hudgens traces her Filipino roots from her mother, Gina Guangco. As such, she is currently planning to honor her by making a movie that portrays her – a Filipina immigrant who moved to the States at age 25.
Hudgens is not shying away from expressing pride in her Filipino heritage, as she is also fond of eating Pinoy foods such as pansit and lumpia most especially at Christmas.
Dave Bautista

While some are already aware that he is indeed having Filipino blood, it is only proper to further contextualize Dave Bautista's relationship to the Philippine race.
A former WWE superstar and now an actor who is famously known for being Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Guardians of the Galaxy, Bautista can't be more proud of boasting his Filipino identity. In a video for GQ Magazine to promote his newest film "Glass Onion," Bautista proudly presented tattoos in his body that symbolizes his Pinoy roots.
On his left arm, Bautista has the waving flags of the Philippines and Greece beside each other. On his left elbow are the three yellow stars and sun of the Philippine flag. The sun also appears on his chest but this time in black encircling an Eye of Providence.
The former wrestling star is the son of a Filipino and a Greek woman.
Bruno Mars

One of the greatest artists of all time, Bruno Mars enchanted the music world with his charm and charismatic ambiance – evident from his versatility in performances, wide range of genre applicability and gifted artistry in musical instruments.
The award-winning Mars has garnered millions of sold records worldwide, making himself one of the best selling artists ever. He also compiled numerous accomplishments based on his songs released – from nominations, concert tours topping the song charts, and recognitions from renowned organizations.
Who would have thought that Mars contains a Pinoy component in himself? Even Ruffa Gutierrez publicized in 2011 that he and the music megastar are affiliated – with the local actress noting that Mars is his nephew.
Mars' mother, Bernadette, is a Filipina.
Olivia Rodrigo

The 19-year-old Olivia Rodrigo started as a protege and went on to bloom – becoming one of the most notable young artists in this generation. She started her rise towards prominence upon her lead roles on the Disney television programs Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series in the early 2010s.
A three-time Grammy Award winner, the bright lights of fame didn't bother Rodrigo from expressing that love on her Filipino heritage, noting that she feels "proud to be a part of the Filipino community", with locals helping her to attain her ultimate dream in the music industry.
Olivia has Filipino ancestry on her father's side. Her mother is of German and Irish ancestry.
