Dubbed the Queen of Freestyle, Jocelyn Enriquez, a Filipina American singer born in San Francisco, became the first Filipino-American artist to achieve mainstream success in California after signing with Classified Records.
Enriquez’s passion for singing started when she was three years old where she sings at family gatherings and in church. And was further developed through her ten-year extensive formal training with the San Francisco Girls Chorus and the San Francisco Opera Company.
Classified Records discovered Enriquez in late 1993. The first time producers Glenn Gutierrez, Elvin Reyes, and Mario Agustin Jr. heard her sing, they were blown away by her versatility.
In 1994, Enriquez made her album debut titled "Lovely," which included the dance hits "I've Been Thinking About You" and "Make It Last Forever."
After two years, Enriquez's success continued when she released her single "Do You Miss Me?", which charted on the Rhythmic Top 40, Top 40 Mainstream, Hot Dance Singles Sales, and Billboard Hot 100.
Her third album, "All My Life," was released in 2003 by her own record label JEM Entertainment and features the hit singles "No Way No How" and "Why."
Moreover, she also performed in Canada, Brazil, Amsterdam, London, Singapore, Guam, and the Philippines, in addition to the United States. She is currently serving in ministry alongside her four children while continuing to create wonderful music.
