The Pistahan Parade and Festival is a two-day annual celebration highlighting Filipinos' vibrant culture and history through authentic cultural experiences in Art, Culinary, Dance, Health, Heritage, Innovation, Sports, and Tavern.

The Filipino American Arts Explosion (FAAE), a non-profit organization that promotes the artistic and cultural pride of the Filipino American community in San Francisco, California, founded this event in 1994.

During the celebration, guests can learn about Filipino American communities and organizations and enjoy festive floats, folk dances, musical performances, and Filipino foods prepared by local artists, food vendors, and entrepreneurs, all of whom the festival desires to support.

This year commemorates the 29th Annual Pistahan Parade and Festival. With the theme “Homecoming: Reconnect with Our Roots and Community,” the celebration is set to happen on August 13 and 14 from 11 am to 5 pm (PT) at Yerba Buena Gardens.

After two years of celebrating the event virtually due to the pandemic, the Pistahan is back to celebrating outdoors with their guests. Meanwhile, global audiences can watch the celebration via Kumu, Facebook, and YouTube live.

To support the celebration, you can visit their website at Pistahan.net.
