This month will be a treat to all art and history lovers who are looking for a place to go in California. We will be sharing five museums from eight different places in California that you can check out. Today, we will be starting with Greater Palm Springs!
1. Cabot's Pueblo Museum
The one-man project was started in 1941 by homesteader, Cabot Yerxa. He built the whole place out of scavenged materials from the desert and other nearby places. Apart from it being his home, he also turned it into a museum that features trinkets from his travels around the world and his own art.

2. Coachella Valley History Museum
A six-acre museum campus which houses Coachella Valley's rich culture and history. The entire museum is operated by a group of valley residents since it first opened in 1984. Coachella Valley History Museum aims to preserve, protect, and share old facts for the future generation.

3. Palm Springs Air Museum
Home to one of the largest collections of flyable aircrafts from the World War II, The Palm Springs Air Museum is dedicated to educating visitors on the role of these planes and their pilots in winning the war. There are currently four hangars (Pacific, European, B-17, & Korean/Vietnam), an education center, a research library, and a lot more.

4. Palm Springs Art Museum
The main museum display artworks and artifacts from three areas: Art, Natural Sciences, and Performing Arts. The museum houses works by Andy Warhol, Ansel Adams, and Pablo Picasso, to name a few. Palm Springs Art Museum also offers art workshops, free film viewing every Thursday night, and youth art workshops.

5. Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert
Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert, located closer to the middle and eastern side of Coachella Valley, was opened in March 2012. It features The Galen, an 8,400-square-foot building that holds art exhibitions in different media forms which includes painting, sculpting, photography, etc. It is surrounded by the Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden that boasts different sculptures scattered all over the four acres of land. The garden is open to all for free 365 days a year.
